There’s Nothing Like A Poo Party.
What theme do your kids want for their birthday party this year? For mine, it’s all about Trolls and various superheroes. Last year it was Paw Patrol and Shopkins. It’s a lot of fun throwing yourself into a party theme, even if they do get a little repetitive. I think my daughter’s whole class had a Shopkins party last year. It was hard to come up with something original. But little Audrey, from St Louis in the United States wanted a rather unique kind of party. She wanted a ‘poop’ party. Lord knows why. Anyone with a three year old would know the poo is a theme that is part of everyday life with them. Pooing, not pooing and talking about pooing in the potty/bed/undies/bath is just a given with a three year old. So for this little girl, perhaps it was the familiarity of poo which drove her to choose the theme. Audrey’s parents agreed, and they all had the crappiest party ever! There were loads of games like pin the poop on the toilet. And the whole family dressed up in poo emoji costumes. “Like any kid, she wanted a birthday about something she likes. She just happens to really, really like poop. I don’t think it ever even occurred to her that it was a strange request. I have NO idea where the initial interest in poop came from,” said her mum, Rebecca. Rebecca was supportive, but gently tried to dissuade her daughter from her rather unusual party theme. “For months, every time we mentioned her party, Audrey requested ‘poop balloons and a poop cake,’” Rebecca told The Huffington Post. “I tried suggesting other themes, but she always insisted on poop.” So…they went with it.
