If you’re into sci-fi, turn-based games and RPG’s, you can’t go past this awesome release from Melbourne-based studio, Robot Circus.

Ticket to Earth has the right balance of an engaging story, turn-based puzzle elements to keep the mind-gears spinning, and the depth of character development that makes RPG’s so fun.

It has beautiful graphics, brilliant sound design, and just the right complexity and difficulty to keep me coming back for more (and thankfully, this is the first game in a 4-part series!) Ticket to Earth is the type of game that really hits the spot for me as a parent; It’s a clever game that’s quick to pick up, hard to master, and easy to indulge in when I’ve got some free time.

Being a fan of games that make me think that little bit more, I was surprised and excited to be thrown into a world of rich storylines involving issues that are somewhat a reflection of those that we face today; division between an elite ruling class and the common folk, mining corporations leaving the environment in ruins, the rise of robots, networks being hacked, a new-age consciousness, civil unrest, refugees, media distractions, conspiracies…

Is it a coincidence or a subtle social message from the game’s creators? Regardless, Ticket to Earth is a fantastic title in the puzzle-RPG mash up genre and a winner in my books!
