This Epic Go-kart Track is a Gamer's Dream Come True
If you enjoy racing games, I'm sure you've come across that ol' furious family-friendly racer called MarioKart. For me the obsession began on a friends' Super Nintendo, but the insanity was turned up several notches for me when the 4-player MarioKart 64 was introduced to the world. If only I could count the hours wasted, I mean, frivolously enjoyed, playing as Yoshi against my brother and my best friends...
Now that we're all "grown up" I'm more partial to detailing rather than racing. My inner child however, fuelled by the memories of many MarioKart afternoons gone by, is begging to hit the track. Especially when insane tracks like Niagara Speedway are being built in real life!
As one of the Clifton Hill attractions at Niagara Falls, Canada, Niagara Speedway is set to be the largest track of its kind in North America. Similar to "The Track" at Branson, Missouri in the USA, Niagara Speedway boasts a multi-level racetrack that would make MarioKart fans' hearts boost-start off the line and into pole position. Now that I've got my own kids (who seem to have inherited some of my car-related obsessions), a trip to a place like Niagara Speedway would be in order. Thankfully, I know my wife would be up for a bit of a race around a track too!
I don't think they would tolerate any bananas or shells being thrown on the track, but I'm sure it would still be a whole lot of fun for the whole family.
